Biographies
Robert D. Habiger - Bachelor of
Architecture and a Master’s of Architecture from Kansas State
University. His Master’s Thesis was a phenomenological
interpretation of Light of the World Catholic Church in
Littleton, Colorado. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of
the Institute for Liturgical Consultants sponsored by the
Catholic Theological Union and the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Robert worked on his first church in 1969 and has specialized in
the design of churches since 1989. He has been a registered
architect since 1975 and currently holds architect registrations
in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Kansas. He has resided in
Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1988 and founded RD Habiger &
Associates Inc in 1989. His projects are known for their
participatory design processes and creative design solutions. A
thorough understanding of liturgy and environmental psychology
are central to his design approach. He is married and is the
father of five children and grandfather of one.
